TELESCOPE SITES
THE ARIZONA SITE
The Tenagra site was chosen specifically for its excellent seeing averaged over the S. Arizona observing season from September 15 to July 1. The average night has 2" FWHM seeing. The site has virtually 100% coverage of the skies at longitude west 110° 52’ 44.8", latitude +31° 27’ 44.4", altitude 1,312m (4,306 feet). The site is in the Sonoran desert and in close proximity with Mt. Hopkins, Kitt Peak and other major observatories. Typical humidity is less than 15%.  MPC code is 926.  The  0.81-m Tenagra II (32") telescope is permanently housed here.

THE OREGON SITE
This is the original Tenagra site used for observing between July 1 and September 15 during the Oregon clear summer months.. The average night has 4" FWHM seeing. The site has reasonable coverage of the skies at longitude west 122° 58’ 41.0", latitude +43° 42’ 09.0", altitude 207m (679 feet).  There is little room (and need) for expansion of this facility.  Virtually all research is limited to non-photometric targets with an emphasis on minor planet discovery and NEO follow-up using the 0.36-m Tenagra I (14") telescope.  MPC code is 848.
